At fortefoods.ca, we value your satisfaction with your purchase. If you have any concerns or issues with your order, please review our Returns Policy below for guidelines on how to proceed with returns and refunds.
Domestic Returns
We accept domestic returns within 15 days from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition as you received it, and in the original packaging. Opened products are not eligible for returns.
Overview
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds
We offer refunds in the following situations:
Damaged Product: If you receive a damaged product, please contact our customer support team within 3 days of receiving your order. You can fill out a complaint form or send a detailed request via Whatsapp. We will guide you through the return process and issue a refund upon receiving the returned item.
Missing Parts/Products: In the event of missing parts or products from your order, contact our customer support team within 3 days of receiving your order. You can fill out a complaint form or send a request, and we will work to send you the missing items or provide a refund.
Late or missing refunds
Following the initiation of the refund process, we kindly request that you take the following steps to ensure the timely and accurate processing of your refund:
Contact Your Credit Card Company: Please be aware that it may take some time before your refund is officially posted to your credit card account. The duration of this process may vary depending on your credit card provider.
Contact Your Bank: Banking institutions typically require some processing time before a refund is reflected in your bank account. This timeframe can differ among banks and financial institutions.
Should you complete both of the above steps and find that your refund has not yet been credited to your account with 7 business days, we kindly request that you reach out to our customer support team. We are here to assist you in promptly resolving any outstanding refund issues and ensuring your complete satisfaction with your shopping experience.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the return value. Upon receiving the returned item, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
For items not marked as gifts or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will issue a refund to the original payment method used by the gift giver. This ensures transparency and prompt handling of gift returns. For any questions or assistance, please contact our customer support
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to our Toronto Warehouse.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
